Sealed or electronic bids for the construction of CITY OF BOONEVILLE POLICE & MUNICIPAL COURT COMPLEX – PHASE I will be received by the City of Booneville, Mississippi at City Hall, 203 N. Main Street, Booneville, MS, Attn: Chris Lindley, Mayor, or Charles Sanders, Building Inspector, until 2:00 on September 22, 2022 and then publicly opened and read aloud at the City Hall Board Room.
Bid Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect and are being made available via hard
paper copy (at bidder’s expense) or digital pdf at www.architecturesouthplanroom.com through Plan House Printing and Graphics, 605 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.
Plan holders are required to register via email address and order Bid Documents which are non-refundable. Questions and inquiries regarding online orders can be directed to Plan House at 662-407-0193.

It is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm they have all bid documents (drawings, specifications, memorandums, addendums).
This work consists of renovation of an existing 24,915 sq ft building including selective demolition and construction of offices, restrooms and ancillary spaces serving Booneville’s Police Department which will occupy approximately 9,000 sq feet of the existing building.
Each bid submitted must be marked “City of Booneville Police & Municipal Court Complex – Phase I, Booneville, Mississippi”. Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain on the outside of the envelope the contractor’s current certificate of responsibility number, or if submitted electronically, must be marked in the column CL/CR #. No bid shall be opened or considered unless this number appears on the outside of the envelope, included in the column CL/CR # electronically, or unless a statement is included indicating that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.
A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the City of Booneville, Mississippi, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid.
In the letting of public contracts, preference shall be given to resident contractors, and a nonresident bidder domiciled in a state having laws granting preference to local contractors shall be awarded Mississippi public contracts only on the same basis as the nonresident bidder’s state awards contracts to Mississippi contractors bidding under similar circumstances; and resident contractors actually domiciled in Mississippi, be they corporate, individuals, or partnerships, are to be granted preference over nonresidents in awarding of contracts in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the nonresident. When a nonresident contractor submits a bid for a public project, he shall attach thereto a copy of his resident state’s current law pertaining to such state’s treatment of nonresident contractors.
Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
